On February 11, 2026, the third Erasmus+ information meeting of the 2025–2026 academic year was held online with the participation of our valued students.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation about the Erasmus+ Program was delivered by Ezgi Yıldız from the Office of International Relations and Erasmus Coordination. The session continued with a Q&A segment, where students’ questions regarding the application process, mobility opportunities, and required documents were answered in detail.

The meeting provided students with valuable insights into international mobility opportunities and encouraged them to take an active role in Erasmus+ activities in the upcoming academic term.

Regarding the Erasmus+ Foreign Language Proficiency Test for the 2026-2027 Academic Year

Dear Students,

The details regarding the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam to be held within the scope of the 2026-2027 Academic Year Erasmus+ Student Mobility (Studies and Traineeship) applications are provided below. The exam will consist of two stages: Written and Oral.

Stage 1: Written Exam

Date: 24.02.2026

Time: 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Venue: Gedik Vocational School Conference Hall

Address: Sülüntepe, Yunus Emre Cd. No:1, 34906 Pendik/İstanbul

Important Note: To maintain the exam order, students arriving after 10:15 AM will strictly not be admitted to the exam.

Stage 2: Oral Exam

Oral exams will be held simultaneously in 3 different classrooms at the Kartal Campus on 25.02.2026.

Start Time: 1:00 PM (The interview duration is approximately 5 minutes per student.)

Venue: Kartal Campus, B Block (Cumhuriyet, İlkbahar Sk. No:1, Kartal/İstanbul)

Attendance: All candidates must be present in front of their assigned classrooms as of 1:00 PM.

⚠️ Critical Warnings and Scoring

Passing Threshold: Students whose total exam score is below 60 points will not be included in the Erasmus+ evaluation process.

Score Distribution: The oral exam accounts for 20 points of the total exam score.

From Gedik to Bucharest: Our Industrial Engineering Student Elif Güldür Has Completed Her Erasmus+ Study Mobility in Romania

Elif Güldür, a student of our Department of Industrial Engineering program, has successfully carried out her Erasmus+ Student Study Mobility at the National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, located in Bucharest, Romania, between 29 September 2025 to 12 February 2026.

Within the scope of this mobility, Elif gained significant international experience in the field of Industrial Engineering. Throughout the program, they had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in operations management, production planning, quality control, and process optimization while effectively combining theoretical foundations with practical applications. They also enhanced their understanding of supply chain management, systems design, data-driven decision-making, and contemporary industrial practices within an international context.

As Istanbul Gedik University, we wholeheartedly congratulate Elif on the successful completion of her internship and wish her continued success in her academic and professional journey.

Collaboration Meeting Focused on Asia-Pacific and South Asia Held at Istanbul Gedik University

A meeting was held under the leadership of the İstanbul Gedik Üniversitesi Asia-Pacific Strategic Studies Application and Research Center to discuss future collaborations between the South Asia Strategic Research Center and the International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship.

The meeting was attended by Sibel Karabel, Director of the Asia-Pacific Strategic Studies Application and Research Center; Cemal Demir, President of the South Asia Strategic Research Center; and Lecturer Yücel Kamar, Director of International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, along with Advisor Ezgi Yıldız from the International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship.

During the meeting, participants discussed strengthening academic studies focused on the South Asia and Asia-Pacific regions, developing joint research projects, organizing international symposiums and workshops, and increasing student and academic staff mobility.

In addition, evaluations were made regarding the development of Erasmus+ projects in the Asia and Asia-Pacific regions, increasing student and staff mobility, and implementing potential inter-institutional agreements.

The parties exchanged views on enhancing inter-institutional coordination and establishing sustainable cooperation mechanisms, reaching a mutual understanding to take concrete steps in the upcoming period.

On 17 February 2026, a project evaluation and introductory meeting was held with AIESEC to discuss international opportunities for students.

The meeting was attended by Melisa Serra Sarı, AIESEC Project Responsible, along with Lecturer Yücel Kamar (Director of International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator), İlayda Önder, and Ezgi Yıldız from the International Relations Office.

The discussion focused on evaluating AIESEC projects, specifically targeting global internship opportunities and leadership development programs. Both parties shared insights on integrating AIESEC’s international network with the university’s global vision to provide students with diverse professional experiences abroad.

On 17 February 2026, a productive meeting was held with the academic staff of the Faculty of Engineering at Istanbul Gedik University to discuss the future of Erasmus+ Mobility programs.

The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Egemen Sulukan, alongside Dr. Ahmet Kubilay Atalay, Dr. Murathan Alpay, and Dr. Ozan Ateş. The session was led by Lecturer Yücel Kamar, Director of International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator.

The primary focus of the discussion was to evaluate current Erasmus+ mobility trends, review the number of active inter-institutional agreements, and develop strategies to increase faculty participation in Centralized Projects (Centrally Managed Actions). Participants shared insights on how to enhance international collaboration and streamline application processes for engineering-specific research and mobility grants.

On 16 February 2026, an informative session regarding the Erasmus+ Programme was organized for students of the Opticianry Program at Istanbul Gedik University’s Gedik Vocational School.

The event was delivered by Lecturer Yücel Kamar, Director of International Relations and Erasmus Coordinator. During the session, Mr. Kamar highlighted the global opportunities available for opticianry students, focusing on international internship placements in optical laboratories and clinics across Europe. He provided step-by-step guidance on application criteria, mobility grants, and the selection process.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A period, where students received personalized advice on how to enhance their professional skills through European exchange programs.

Erasmus+ Information Session Held for Culinary Arts Students of Gedik Vocational School

On 16 February 2026, an Erasmus+ information session was held for the students of the Culinary Arts Program at Gedik Vocational School, Istanbul Gedik University.

The session, which took place at the Vocational School Conference Hall, was delivered by Lecturer Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus Coordinator. During the presentation, Mr. Kamar introduced the Erasmus+ Programme in detail, providing comprehensive information on student mobility opportunities, application procedures, and specific requirements for culinary students.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, during which students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive direct guidance regarding the Erasmus+ process.

The event aimed to raise awareness of international mobility opportunities and to encourage students to benefit from Erasmus+ programmes during their academic studies.

From Gedik to Madrid: Our International Trade and Finance Student Chadha Mansouri Has Completed Her Erasmus+ Study Mobility in Spain

Chadha Mansouri, a student of our Department of International Trade and Finance (English) program, has successfully carried out her Erasmus+ Student Study Mobility at the Rey Juan Carlos University, located in Madrid, Spain, between 09 September 2025 to 22 January 2026.

Within the scope of this mobility, Chadha gained significant international experience in the field of Finance. Throughout the program, she had the opportunity to deepen her knowledge in financial analysis, investment strategies, and risk management while combining theoretical foundations with practical applications. She also enhanced her understanding of global financial markets, corporate finance practices, and contemporary financial regulations within an international context.

Evaluation Meeting for the LCAMP Project Held on 12 February 2026

On February 12, 2026, an information and evaluation meeting was held between GEBKİM and Istanbul Gedik University regarding the Learner Centric Advanced Manufacturing Platform (LCAMP) project carried out by GEBKIM.

During the meeting, the objectives, scope, and ongoing activities of the LCAMP project—based on learner-centered approaches in advanced manufacturing—were discussed, and potential areas of collaboration were evaluated. The opportunities offered by the project to strengthen university–industry cooperation were also emphasized.

Representing Istanbul Gedik University were Yücel Kamar, Director of International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, along with Ezgi Yıldız and İlayda Önder from the International Relations and Erasmus Office.

GEBKIM was represented by Gizem Bekleyen and Tolga Yıldırım.

During the meeting, the importance of joint efforts to develop a qualified workforce in advanced manufacturing technologies was highlighted, and views were exchanged on potential future collaborations within the scope of the LCAMP project.

An online evaluation meeting was held on 12 February 2026 on Short Term Mobility/BIP projects planned to be submitted.

The meeting brought together representatives from units to Istanbul Gedik University to discuss the project idea, scope, and possible contributions. The session was conducted by Yucel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator  and attended Ilayda Onder and Ezgi Yildiz from International Relations and Erasmus Office. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Muhammet Ali Aytaç and Research Assistant Gizem Kökçü from the department of International Trade and Logistics

The meeting was also attended by Gracjana Noga from University of Economics in Krakow, Poland. Maria Tavares and Garaca Azevedo from University of Aveiro, Portugal.

During the meeting, the project framework and objectives were reviewed, and potential institutional contributions were discussed. The session aimed to strengthen inter-unit cooperation and support the preparation of the Short Term Mobility/BIP projects application in line with institutional priorities.

For our funded Erasmus+ KA2 Project GEFY, a project partners meeting was conducted on 11 February 2026 by the Directorate of International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship of Istanbul Gedik University to monitor and track the project's development process.

Under the leadership of Istanbul Gedik University, they exchanged views on the progress, scope, and ongoing contributions of the project. The session was chaired by Yücel Kamar, Director of International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, and Ezgi Yıldız, Advisor at the International Relations and Erasmus Office, also attended the meeting.

Representing Lenoworks, Özgür Esen and Özge Perkdemir participated in the meeting.

The project partners aimed to ensure effective coordination among team members, track the current workflow, and reinforce the university’s contribution to the project’s overall progress.

On 11 February 2025, Istanbul Gedik University held an online cooperation meeting with Oman College of Health Sciences, located in Oman.

The meeting was attended on behalf of Istanbul Gedik University by  International Relations Director & Erasmus Coordinator Yücel Kamar,  Ezgi Yıldız from the International Relations and Erasmus Coordination Office. Prof. Esra Doğru Hüzmeli from Depatment of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Dr. Çağla Pınarlı from Department of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Representing Oman College of Health Sciences, Head of the Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator Dyiyah Mohammed Alli Al Waail, member of the Erasmus Team and also English Teacher Husam Yaqoob Hashim Al Bakushi, Noura Ali Said Al-Hinai memeber of the Erasmus+ Team, Nihad Yousuf Haji Al-Balushi member of the Erasmus Team, Aaisha Abdul Aziz Mohammed Al Awadhi member of Erasmus Team, Dr. Shawana Masad Madood Al- Harrasi, Najeeb Abdilah Obaid Al-Abri from Human Resouces Department participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, both institutions introduced their academic structures and internationalization strategies. Potential areas of cooperation, particularly within the scope of Erasmus+ mobility programs and future academic collaborations, were discussed in a productive and constructive manner.

The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening institutional relations and exploring possible partnership opportunities between Istanbul Gedik University and Oman College of Health Sciences.

Meeting Held to Enhance the Institutional Visibility of Erasmus+ Mobility

Gedik University’s Corporate Communications and Promotion Office and International Relations and Erasmus Coordination came together to increase the awareness of the Erasmus+ Programme across the university.

A meeting was held between Gedik University’s Corporate Communications and Promotion Office and International Relations and Erasmus Coordination in order to enhance students’ and staff members’ awareness of Erasmus+ mobility activities and to increase the programme’s institutional visibility.

The meeting was attended by Yücel Kamar, Institutional Erasmus Coordinator, and Ezgi Yıldız, Office Specialist, representing International Relations and Erasmus Coordination. Representing the Corporate Communications and Promotion Office were Ela Yavuz, Director, Yasemin Yağcı, Specialist, and Baran Çelik, Graphic Designer.

During the meeting, communication strategies aimed at strengthening information processes regarding Erasmus+ projects, facilitating access for students and staff, and increasing awareness across the university were discussed. In this context, action plans were developed focusing on the effective use of digital and printed communication channels, informational meetings, and promotional activities.

Through this collaboration, it is aimed to expand the impact of the Erasmus+ Programme within the university and to encourage a greater number of students and staff members to benefit from international mobility opportunities.

On 4 February 2025, Istanbul Gedik University held an online cooperation meeting with Center for Business Studies (CEPS), located in Kiseljak/Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting was attended on behalf of Istanbul Gedik University by  International Relations Director & Erasmus Coordinator Yücel Kamar, İlayda Önder and Ezgi Yıldız from the International Relations and Erasmus Coordination Office.

Representing Center for Business Studies (CEPS), Mr.Stjepan Stanic participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, both institutions introduced their academic structures and internationalization strategies. Potential areas of cooperation, particularly within the scope of Erasmus+ mobility programs and future academic collaborations, were discussed in a productive and constructive manner.

The meeting marked an important step toward strengthening institutional relations and exploring possible partnership opportunities between Istanbul Gedik University and Center for Business Studies (CEPS).

For our funded Erasmus+ KA2 Project GEFY, a project partners meeting was conducted on 4 February 2026 by the Directorate of International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship of Istanbul Gedik University to monitor and track the project's development process.

The meeting brought together representatives from various units of Istanbul Gedik University to discuss the project's progress, scope, and ongoing contributions. The session was conducted by Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, and was attended by İlayda Önder and Ezgi Yıldız from the International Relations and Erasmus Office.

The meeting was also held with the participation of Prof. Kutluhan Bozkurt, Head of the Department of Public Law; Dr. Utku Canci Matur from the Department of Mechatronics; Dr. Tuğçe Sena Altuntaş from the Department of Electrical Engineering; Dr. Ayteç Uğur Yerden and Dr. Fahriye Enda Tolon from the Department of Industrial Engineering; Dr. Begüm Erten Mahmutoğlu from the Department of Occupational Health and Safety; Lecturer Ali Köse from the Department of Mechanical Engineering; and Research Assistants Hazal Gül and Osman Can Serttaş from the Faculty of Law.

The project partners aimed to ensure effective coordination among team members, track the current workflow, and reinforce the university’s contribution to the project’s overall progress.

On February 3, 2026, a strategic meeting was held to evaluate and discuss the KA220-VET (Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships in Vocational Education and Training) project opportunities.

The meeting focused on enhancing institutional capacity, developing innovative vocational training modules, and strengthening international collaborations. Participants discussed potential project frameworks that align with the Istanbul Gedik University’s internationalism strategies.

The meeting was attended by Lecturer Yucel Kamar, International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, and Dr. Meltem Kasapoğlu Çalık, Director of Gedik Vocational School, Dr. Kıvanç Ali Anıl and Dr. Doruk Gürkan from the Department of Mechanical Engineering joined the discussion alongside Lecturer Erkin Duman and Lecturer Hüseyin Kaygısız from the Machinery Program.

This meeting marks an important step toward expanding our university's role in VET projects.

The meeting brought together representatives from various units of Istanbul Gedik University to discuss the project idea, scope, and potential contributions. The session was conducted by Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator, and was attended by İlayda Önder and Ezgi Yıldız from the International Relations and Erasmus Office. Participants also included Dr. Meltem Kasapoğlu Çalık, Director of the Vocational School; Dr. Tülay Karabuğa, Head of the Department of Transportation Services; and faculty members from the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts: Assoc. An Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) has been signed digitally between Istanbul Gedik University and Heimerer University

Within the scope of this agreement, academic staff of Istanbul Gedik University will be able to participate in Erasmus+ Staff Mobilities at the partner institution.

Dimo Karachorbadzhiev from Burgas Free University Successfully Completed His Erasmus Mobility at Our University

Dimo Karachorbadzhiev, a student from Burgas Free University (Bulgaria), has successfully completed his Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies at Istanbul Gedik University, Faculty of Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering Program, during the Fall semester of the 2025–2026 academic year.

Throughout his mobility period, Dimo actively participated in academic activities, gained valuable knowledge in his field of study, and experienced a rich intercultural environment. His time at our university contributed positively to both his academic development and cultural exchange experience.

On January 15, 2026, the second Erasmus+ information meeting of the 2025–2026 academic year was held online with the participation of our valued students.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation about the Erasmus+ Program was delivered by İlayda Önder and Ezgi Yıldız from the Office of International Relations and Erasmus Coordination. The session continued with a Q&A segment, where students’ questions regarding the application process, mobility opportunities, and required documents were answered in detail.

The meeting provided students with valuable insights into international mobility opportunities and encouraged them to take an active role in Erasmus+ activities in the upcoming academic term.

For our funded Erasmus+ KA2 Project GEFY, an project partners meeting was conducted on 15 January 2026 by the Directorate of International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship of Istanbul Gedik University.

Planning and development activities were carried out under third work page with the participation of Erciyes University and the Software Coordination Units of Gedik University, which are among the project partners.

The project partners aimed to ensure effective coordination among team members, clarify the workflow, and reinforce the university’s contribution to the project’s overall progress.

International Project Collaboration Meeting Held with Barcelerate

An online meeting was held on January 8, 2026, between our university and Barcelerate, an organization headquartered in Spain and operating in the field of international project development. During the meeting, representatives of both institutions conducted comprehensive discussions on potential areas of collaboration.

Representing our university, Institutional Coordinator Lecturer Yücel Kamar, İlayda Önder, and Ezgi Yıldız from the Office of International Relations and Erasmus Coordination participated in the meeting, while Gülşah Narlı represented Barcelerate.

During the meeting, both parties reached a mutual understanding on collaborating within the scope of various international project calls. In addition, an exchange of views took place regarding the improvement and enhancement of the planned project application to increase its effectiveness.

EU Funding Opportunities Information and Networking Event Held Under the Coordination of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM)

The “EU Funding Opportunities Information and Networking Event,” organized by the Department of Foreign Relations of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM), was held on 24 December 2025 at the Yusuf Ziya Erdem Conference Hall of ISKI General Directorate.

The event, which aimed to enhance the capacity of IMM units, local governments, universities, and non-governmental organizations to benefit from European Union funds and to strengthen multi-stakeholder cooperation, was completed with broad participation. The program included informative presentations on EU funding opportunities as well as networking activities designed to support inter-institutional communication and collaboration.

Representing Istanbul Gedik University, International Relations and Erasmus Institutional Coordinator Lecturer Yücel Kamar and Advisor Zuhal Akkaş from the Technology Transfer Office attended the event.

During the program, important contacts were established to develop sustainable and effective collaborations among universities, local governments, and civil society organizations.

Istanbul Gedik University was pleased to host representatives from University of Sciences and Arts Lebanon (USAL), based in Lebanon, on 29 December 2025.

Within the scope of the visit, Ms. Mariam Chokor, Career Center Manager and Internationalisation Director at USAL, and Dr. Thurayya Al-Sahli visited our university. A bilateral meeting was held during which both institutions presented their academic structures, international activities, and areas of expertise.

The meeting provided a valuable opportunity to discuss potential academic and institutional collaborations, including future partnership opportunities and international cooperation initiatives. The discussions were highly productive and reflected the mutual interest of both institutions in developing sustainable collaboration.

On 25 December 2025, Istanbul Gedik University's International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship participated in the International Credit Mobility (KA171) Information Meeting, which was organized online by the Turkish National Agency.

The meeting provided detailed information on the implementation process, priorities, and key points of the Erasmus+ KA171 International Credit Mobility programme. The session was highly beneficial in terms of staying up to date with current guidelines and strengthening institutional capacity for future KA171 activities.

On 23 December 2025, an Erasmus+ information session was held for the students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Istanbul Gedik University.

The session was delivered by Lecturer Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus Coordinator. During the presentation, Mr. Kamar introduced the Erasmus+ Programme in detail, providing comprehensive information on student mobility opportunities, application procedures, and participation requirements.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, during which students had the opportunity to ask questions and receive direct guidance regarding the Erasmus+ process.

On 18 December 2025, Prof. Dr. Kostas Indounas from Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) and Dr. Evgenia Pavlakou, Associate Dean and Head of Research & PhD Programs at New York College Greece, paid an official visit to Istanbul Gedik University.

During the visit, representatives of both institutions introduced their universities and shared information about their academic structures, research priorities, and internationalization strategies. Productive discussions were held on potential areas of collaboration, with a particular focus on Erasmus+ cooperation opportunities and Key Action 2 (KA2) projects, including joint research initiatives and capacity-building activities.

During the meeting, National Agency experts delivered informative presentations on Erasmus+ Jean Monnet Actions, Erasmus Mundus, and the European Universities Initiative. In addition, examples of projects from Türkiye that have received Erasmus+ funding were introduced, providing participants with valuable insights into good practices and implementation experiences.

Kick-off and Evaluation Meeting of the Erasmus+ KA2 Project “Green Entrepreneurship for Youth” Held at Istanbul Gedik University

Within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA2 projects, the kick-off and evaluation meeting of the project titled “Green Entrepreneurship for Youth,” coordinated by Istanbul Gedik University, was successfully held on 11 December 2025 at Istanbul Gedik University with the participation of the project partners and the attendance of our University’s Acting Rector, Prof. Dr. Feriha Erfan Kuyumcu.

The meeting brought together representatives of the partner institutions to discuss the overall objectives, implementation process, and expected outcomes of the project. During the sessions, project activities, timelines, work packages, and dissemination strategies were reviewed in detail, ensuring a common understanding among all partners.

The kick-off meeting provided an important platform for strengthening cooperation among partners and setting a solid foundation for the successful implementation of the project.

THE SCOPE OF OUR ERASMUS+ INTER-INSTITUTIONAL BILATERAL AGREEMENT WITH THE ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI, GREECE HAS BEEN EXPANDED AND WILL BE VALID UNTIL THE END OF THE 2028-2029 ACADEMIC YEAR.

THE SCOPE OF OUR ERASMUS+ INTER-INSTITUTIONAL BILATERAL AGREEMENT WITH THE ARISTOTLE UNIVERSITY OF THESSALONIKI, GREECE HAS BEEN EXPANDED AND WILL BE VALID UNTIL THE END OF THE 2028-2029 ACADEMIC YEAR.

The scope of our Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreement with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, has been expanded digitally to include the area of Economics (Isced code: 0311).

This agreement will remain in effect until the end of the 2028-2029 academic year.

For our funded Erasmus+ Ka2 Project GEFY, an internal evaluation meeting was conducted on 1 December 2025 by the Directorate of International Relations and Erasmus Office of Istanbul Gedik University.

During the meeting, the project team assessed the key points discussed in the international session, reviewed the responsibilities of Istanbul Gedik University within the second work package—Curriculum and Course Module Development.

The internal evaluation aimed to ensure effective coordination among team members, clarify the workflow, and reinforce the university’s contribution to the project’s overall progress.

On 25 November 2025, the planning meeting of the multinational “Green Entrepreneurship for Youth” (GEFY) Project, coordinated by the Directorate of International Relations and Erasmus Office of Istanbul Gedik University, was held.

Within the scope of the project’s second work package, Curriculum and Course Module Development, project coordinators and university teams from Istanbul Gedik University, the University of Valencia (Spain), Gal Ferenc University (Hungary), and Erciyes University (Türkiye) came together to exchange ideas regarding the project. Yücel Kamar, who serves as the GEFY Project Coordinator at Istanbul Gedik University, delivered an introductory presentation on the project. Prof. Dr. Jose Badia Valiente from the University of Valencia, the leader of the second work package, presented detailed information on the implementation of this work package.

The meeting also addressed the details of the upcoming in-person session planned to be hosted by Istanbul Gedik University on 11 December 2025.

Within the framework of the “Youth Empowerment for Social Impact – YES Impact” Project, prepared in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye, İstasyonTEDÜ, InterMediaKT (Greece) and Social Innovation Cluster CLM (Spain), and submitted to the Turkish National Agency under Erasmus+ Key Action 2 – Cooperation Partnerships in the Field of Youth (KA220-YOU), our International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship participated in the evaluation meeting held on 21 November 2025 with institutions supporting young social entrepreneurs.

During the meeting, project outputs, capacity-building activities for young social entrepreneurs, potential support mechanisms, and future cooperation opportunities were discussed in detail. Istanbul Gedik University will continue to follow initiatives that contribute to strengthening young people in the field of social impact and maintain close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

On 19 November 2025, Istanbul Gedik University welcomed Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sherif Kamel from Arab East Colleges, Riyadh (KSA) as part of an official visit aimed at strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.

Dr. Kamel met with Lect. Yücel Kamar, Director of External Relations and Erasmus Coordinator, along with Prof. Dr. Egemen Sulukan and Asst. Prof. Dr. Aytaç Uğur Yerden. Miloš Pavlović, International Relations Office Expert responsible for projects at Adriatic University of Bar, Montenegro, completed a staff training mobility at Istanbul Gedik University within the scope of the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM – KA171) Programme between 17–21 November 2025.

During his mobility, Mr. Pavlović met with Lect. Sofia Corradi, “Mother of Erasmus,” Passes Away at 91

Sofia Corradi, the visionary behind the Erasmus Programme that has enabled millions of young people to study across Europe, has passed away at the age of 91 in Rome.

Professor Corradi, who taught Educational Sciences at Roma Tre University, was affectionately known as the “Mother of Erasmus” for her pioneering role in shaping one of Europe’s most influential academic exchange initiatives.

According to reports from the Italian press, her family described her as “a woman of boundless energy, intellectual brilliance, and deep generosity.”

Corradi’s inspiration for what would later become the Erasmus Programme came from her own experience as a student. After earning a Fulbright scholarship and completing a master’s degree in law at Columbia University in New York, she returned to Italy—only to find that her American degree was not recognized by the Italian education system. Determined to prevent others from facing similar barriers, she proposed the idea of a European student exchange initiative. Her vision became reality in 1987 when the European Union officially launched the Erasmus Programme.

Since then, the programme has grown into a cornerstone of European education and mobility. According to official EU data, more than 16 million students have taken part in Erasmus exchanges, promoting intercultural understanding and academic cooperation across the continent.

Born in Rome, Corradi also contributed to international research and advocacy on the right to education, working with institutions such as the United Nations Human Rights Committee, The Hague Academy of International Law, and the London School of Economics (LSE).

Tributes poured in following her passing. Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani highlighted that Corradi “inspired millions of young people to explore, learn, and embrace different cultures.” French President Emmanuel Macron also paid homage, writing on social media, “Millions of students owe part of their lives to her vision.”

On October 22, 2025, we organized an online information meeting with our students who will take part in Erasmus mobility during the 2025-2026 Academic Year Spring Semester. The session focused on preparing the Learning Agreement and provided guidance on key steps of the mobility process.

Our Institutional Erasmus and International Relations Coordinator, Lecturer Yücel Kamar, attended the class as a guest speaker.

During the session, students were informed in detail about the learning and traineeship mobility opportunities offered by the Erasmus Programme, the application processes, and the importance of gaining international experience.

This event contributed to raising students’ awareness of international exchange programmes in their first year of university and encouraged them to plan early for future Erasmus applications.

As part of Erasmus Days 2025, Istanbul Gedik University hosted a creative workshop followed by a special exhibition featuring the experiences of students who previously participated in Erasmus mobility programs. 

During the workshop, students curated and prepared their Erasmus photos and stories, transforming them into visually engaging and meaningful outputs. These creations were then showcased in the Winter Garden, allowing visitors to explore their journeys in a rich and interactive format.

Students shared their experiences not only through photographs but also by narrating their personal stories, providing insights into the academic, cultural, and personal growth they achieved during their mobility periods. The exhibition became a platform for inspiration, reflection, and motivation for future Erasmus participants.

Erasmus Days 2025 at Gedik University: Valuable Insights from Prof. Dr. Makrides on KA2 Projects

On 17 October 2025, within the scope of the Erasmus Days 2025 celebrations, Prof. Dr. Gregory Makrides, President of the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC), was welcomed at Istanbul Gedik University to deliver an inspiring talk.

During his presentation, Prof. Dr. Makrides elaborated on the innovative aspects of the Erasmus+ Programme, with a particular focus on the opportunities offered through KA2 (Partnerships for Cooperation) projects. Our academic staff gained in-depth knowledge about project design, management, and sustainability while benefiting from the professor’s extensive international experience and best practices.

Organized by the International Relations and Erasmus Coordinatorship, this meaningful event not only enhanced the awareness of our academic community regarding Erasmus+ KA2 projects but also contributed significantly to the university’s internationalization efforts.

At the end of the program, Prof. Dr. Gregory Makrides was presented with a plaque of appreciation by our Acting Rector, Prof. Dr. Feriha Erfan Kuyumcu, in recognition of his valuable contributions.

On October 15, 2025, the first Erasmus+ information meeting of the 2025–2026 academic year was held online with the participation of our valued students.

During the meeting, a comprehensive presentation about the Erasmus+ Program was delivered by İlayda Önder from the Office of International Relations and Erasmus Coordination. The session continued with a Q&A segment, where students’ questions regarding the application process, mobility opportunities, and required documents were answered in detail.

The meeting provided students with valuable insights into international mobility opportunities and encouraged them to take an active role in Erasmus+ activities in the upcoming academic term.

As part of the GEFY (Green Entrepreneurship for Youth) Project, Istanbul Gedik University held its internal planning meeting on October 14, 2025.

During the meeting, participants discussed the project’s main objectives, work packages, timeline, task distribution, and the detailed planning of upcoming activities. In addition, strategic evaluations were made regarding sustainability, impact, and the enhancement of international cooperation.

Representing our University, the International Relations Director and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, Lecturer Yücel Kamar, attended the Erasmus+ Centralised Projects Information Day held on 30 September 2025 at CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel, Istanbul, co-hosted by the Istanbul Governorship and the Turkish National Agency.

During the event, comprehensive briefings and experience-sharing sessions were conducted on various Erasmus KA2 project types, including Partnerships for Innovation, Capacity Building in Higher Education, and Capacity Building in Vocational Education and Training, among others. The sessions provided valuable insights into current priorities, best practices, and implementation strategies for the effective management of Erasmus+ centralised projects.

We Participated to the Higher Education Mobility Project Management (KA131) Meeting at Gazi University

As the Office of International Relations and Erasmus Coordination of Istanbul Gedik University, we participated in the Higher Education Mobility Project Management (KA131) Meeting organized by the Turkish National Agency on September 25, 2025, at Gazi University in Ankara.

The meeting brought together representatives from Erasmus and International Student Offices of various universities across Turkey. In addition to informative sessions on the implementation of Erasmus+ mobility projects, the Provincial Directorate of Migration Management delivered presentations on the experiences and challenges faced by international students coming to Turkey through exchange programs. The event also included Q&A sessions that allowed participants to exchange ideas and share best practices.

The meeting proved to be highly fruitful in terms of strengthening inter-university cooperation, exchanging good practices, and developing new perspectives to better support exchange and international students.

Istanbul Gedik University and University of Zagreb Representatives Held an Online Meeting to Discuss Future Collaborations

On September 11, 2025, an online meeting was held between the representatives of Istanbul Gedik University and the University of Zagreb, aiming to strengthen ties and explore collaboration opportunities between the two institutions.

Istanbul Gedik University was represented by Prof. Dr. Egemen Sulukan, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Assist. Prof. Dr. Kıvanç Ali Anıl; Assist. Prof. Dr. Doruk Gürkan; Lecturer Yücel Kamar, Institutional Erasmus and External Relations Coordinator; and İlayda Önder from the Office of External Relations and Erasmus Coordination.

From the University of Zagreb, the meeting was attended by Ms. Katarina Plancutić, Mobility Advisor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture; Prof. Dr. Sc. Morana Mihaljević, ECTS Coordinator for Incoming Students; along with Mr. Tihomir Opetuk and Mr. Hrvoje Cojner.

During the meeting, both universities introduced their institutions, academic programs, and mobility structures, and discussed potential opportunities for cooperation, particularly within the scope of the Erasmus+ programme. The participants exchanged ideas on developing joint research projects, facilitating student and staff exchanges, and strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration.

Istanbul Gedik University looks forward to turning these discussions into concrete actions and continuing to build a strong and mutually beneficial partnership with the University of Zagreb.

Fabian Șandru from Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu Has Started His Internship Mobility at Our University

Within the scope of the Erasmus+ program, our student Fabian Șandru from Constantin Brâncuși University of Târgu Jiu started his internship mobility at the Faculty of Sports Sciences of our university on August 18, 2025.

During his internship, Fabian Șandru will participate in both academic and practical activities conducted at our faculty, while also interacting with students from different cultures to gain valuable international experience. This mobility will contribute significantly to his professional and personal development and help strengthen his academic knowledge and skills.

For our university, such internship mobilities are of great importance as they enhance international cooperation within the Erasmus+ framework, enable experience sharing with students from different countries, and expand our global network.

Fabian Șandru’s internship experience at our university aims to be a productive and enriching process for both the participating student and our institution.

Hüseyin Kaygısız’ın dahil olduğu “Yeşil Dönüşüm ve Sürdürülebilirlik” – “Green Transition and Sustainability” (GRAST) isimli proje ile yüksek kabul puanı almışlardır.

Bu proje ile:

Başlıca Avrupa Birliği politikaları ve entegrasyonu konularında (yeşil dönüşüm, ileri imalat yöntemleri, biyokütle, robotik, vb) kapsamlı dersler sunulacaktır.

Öğrencilerimiz ve genç profesyonellerin AB konusunda bilgi ve farkındalıklarını artırılacaktır.

Akademik dünya ile politika yapıcılar arasında güçlü bir köprü kurulacaktır.

Bu başarı hem üniversitemiz hem de ülkemiz için Avrupa çalışmaları alanında önemli bir adım olmuştur.

The training, delivered by Prof. Dr. Gregoris Makrides, President of the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC), consisted of theoretical sessions during the first two days and practical workshops on the final day. Within this framework, participants were given the opportunity to present their own project ideas in detail. The Erasmus+ Inter-Institutional bilateral agreement between our university and AGH University of Krakow, Poland, has been digitally signed and will remain valid until the end of the 2028–2029 academic year.

From Gedik to Rome: Our Occupational Health and Safety Master's Student Hatice Baygut Has Completed Her Erasmus+ Internship in Italy

Hatice Baygut, a student of our Occupational Health and Safety Master's with Thesis program, has successfully carried out her Erasmus+ Student Internship Mobility at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, located in Rome, Italy, between 31 May – 31 July 2025.

Within the scope of this mobility, Hatice gained significant international experience in the field of occupational health and safety. Throughout the program, she had the opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practical applications, while closely observing European standards in occupational safety. She also conducted studies on nutrition, risk management, ergonomics, and modern approaches to accident prevention.

The knowledge and skills she acquired are highly valuable in contributing to occupational health and safety practices in Türkiye, while adding great value to her academic and professional development.

As Istanbul Gedik University, we wholeheartedly congratulate Hatice on the successful completion of her internship and wish her continued success in her academic and professional journey.

BAŞVURU NASIL YAPILIR?

Başvuru, adayların başvuru ilanını dikkatlice okuduktan sonra 12.08.2025 – 05.09.2025 tarihleri arasında (05 Eylül 2025 tarihi cuma günü saat 23:59’a kadar) https://turnaportal.ua.gov.tr adresi üzerinden e-devlet kullanıcı bilgileriyle çevrimiçi (online) yapılacaktır.

Adaylar, ilanda belirtilen tüm belgeleri eksiksiz olarak sisteme yüklemek suretiyle başvuru yapabilirler. Eksik belge yükleyen adayların başvuruları geçersiz sayılacaktır.

BAŞVURU BELGELERİ

1- Engelli Olma Durumu: Engellilik durumu olan adaylarımız, Engellilik Sağlık Kurulu raporunu veya engelli kartlarının görüntüsünü başvuru sistemine yüklemelidir.

3- Gazi veya Şehit veya Gazi Çocuğu Olma Durumu: Kendisi gazi olan veya şehit veya gazi çocuğu olan adaylarımız, durumlarını kanıtlayıcı belgelerini başvuru sistemine yüklemelidir.

4- Yabancı Dil Belgesi: Adaylar, Yabancı Diller Yüksekokulu (YDYO) tarafından yapılacak olan Erasmus yabancı dil sınavına girmeyip; geçerliliği son beş yıl olmak üzere YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL, e-YÖKDİL veya ÖSYM tarafından eşdeğerliği kabul edilen yabancı dil sınav sonuç puanlarını başvurularında kullanabilirler. Bu minvalde, puanlarını kullanmak isteyen adayların yabancı dil sınav sonuç belgelerini başvuru esnasında sisteme yüklemeleri veya Dış İlişkiler ve Dış İlişkiler ve Erasmus Koordinatörlüğü’ne elden veya e-posta yoluyla teslim etmeleri gerekmektedir.

Adaylardan İngilizce yabancı dil sınav puan şartı aranmayacak olup, yukarıda anılan dil puanlarından birini ibraz eden adayların puanları yüzlük sistem üzerinden hesaba katılacaktır. Hesaplama sonucunda 100 üzerinden elde edilen puanın %20’si ilave puan olarak adayın toplam puanına eklenecektir.

Başvuruda bulunan adayların, eğer YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL (son 5 yıl geçerlidir) veya ÖSYM tarafından eşdeğerliği kabul edilen yabancı dil sınav puanları (son 5 yıl geçerlidir) yoksa, Yabancı Diller Yüksekokulu tarafından yapılacak yabancı dil sınavlarına girmeleri tavsiye edilmektedir. Sınavların şekli, yeri ve tarihi Üniversitemiz resmi internet sayfasında ilan edilecek ve adaylara e-posta yoluyla duyurulacaktır.

Başvuruda bulunan adaylar, sisteme girmiş oldukları tüm belgelerdeki bilgilerin doğruluğunu; bilgilerin hatalı olması durumunda doğacak yükümlülüğü kabul ederlerBu durumda adayların başvuruları geçersiz sayılır.

KESİN SONUÇLARIN BELİRLENMESİ

Kesin hibe ve kontenjan durumu, Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı’nın Üniversitemize 2023 Sözleşme Dönemi Erasmus+ Uluslararası Kredi Hareketliliği Programı (2023-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000167416 no’lu proje) Personel Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği bütçesi dâhilindeki hibe miktarına göre belirlenecektir.

PERSONEL DERS VERME/ EĞİTİM ALMA HAREKETLİLİĞİ NEDİR?

Personel ders verme hareketliliği Türkiye’de ECHE sahibi bir yükseköğretim kurumunda ders vermekle yükümlü olan bir personelin, Programla İlişkili Olmayan Üçüncü Ülkedeki bir yükseköğretim kurumunda veya Programla İlişkili Olmayan Üçüncü Ülkedeki bir yükseköğretim kurumunda ders vermekle yükümlü olan bir personelin Türkiye’de ECHE sahibi bir yükseköğretim kurumunda öğrencilere ders vermesine ve ders vermeye ilişkin olarak karşı kurumla ortaklaşa akademik/eğitsel faaliyetler gerçekleştirmesine imkân sağlayan faaliyet alanıdır.

Personel eğitim alma hareketliliği Türkiye’de ECHE sahibi bir yükseköğretim kurumunda istihdam edilmiş herhangi bir personelin, Programla İlişkili Olmayan Üçüncü Ülkelerin birinde bir yükseköğretim kurumunda eğitim almasına veya Programla İlişkili Olmayan Üçüncü Ülkedeki bir yükseköğretim kurumunda istihdam edilmiş personelin Türkiye’de bir yükseköğretim kurumunda ya da işletmede eğitim almasına imkân sağlayan faaliyet alanıdır

PERSONEL DERS VERME/ EĞİTİM ALMA HAREKETLİLİĞİNDE SÜRELER

Personel ders verme hareketliliği için faaliyet süresi, seyahat hariç en az ardışık 5 gün (hafta sonu tatilleri ardışıklığı bozmaz) ve en fazla 2 ay olarak belirlenmiştir. Bununla birlikte, faaliyetin geçerli bir faaliyet olarak değerlendirilebilmesi için en az 8 ders saati ders verilmesi zorunludur. Faaliyetin 1 haftadan uzun gerçekleştiği durumlarda, verilmesi gereken zorunlu ders saatinin süre ile orantılı olarak artması gerekmektedir. (örneğin, 1 hafta sürecek bir faaliyette 8 saat ders verilmesi zorunlu olduğundan, 2 hafta sürecek bir faaliyette en az 16 saat ders verilmesi gerekmektedir).

Ders verme ve eğitim alma faaliyetinin bir arada gerçekleştirildiği durumlarda, asgari ders verme süresi bir hafta ya da kısa süreli faaliyetler için 4 saattir. İşletmelerden ders vermek üzere davet edilen personel için faaliyet süresi en az 5 gündür ve asgari ders verme saati koşulu bulunmamaktadır. Personel ders verme hareketliliğinde, katılım sertifikasında katılımcının mücbir sebep dışında 5 günden az süre ile faaliyet gerçekleştirdiği ve/veya vermesi gerekenden daha az saat ders verdiğinin görüldüğü durumlarda, faaliyet geçersiz kabul edilir ve katılımcıya herhangi bir hibe ödemesi yapılmaz.

Personel eğitim alma hareketliliği için faaliyet süresi seyahat hariç en az ardışık 5 gün (hafta sonu tatilleri ardışıklığı bozmaz), en fazla 2 ay olarak belirlenmiştir. Personel eğitim alma hareketliliğinde, katılım sertifikasında katılımcının mücbir sebep dışında 5 günden az süre ile faaliyet gerçekleştirdiğinin görüldüğü durumlarda, faaliyet geçersiz kabul edilir ve katılımcıya herhangi bir hibe ödemesi yapılmaz.

Personel hareketliliği faaliyetleri, Türkiye Ulusal Ajansı (Merkez) ile imzalanan sözleşme bitiş tarihinden sonraya sarkamaz. 2023-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000167416 no’lu proje için sözleşme bitiş tarihi 31.07.2026’dır. Hareketliliğe seçilen personel en geç 31.07.2026 tarihinde hareketliliğini tamamlayıp yurda dönüş yapmış olmak durumundadır.

FAALİYET NASIL GERÇEKLEŞTİRİLMELİDİR?

Personel ders verme ve eğitim alma faaliyeti gün tabanlı bir faaliyettir ve sadece ders verme faaliyeti ile ilgili faaliyet gerçekleştirilen günleri ve seyahat günleri için hibe ödemesi yapılır. Bu nedenle Personel Ders Verme Hareketliliği Anlaşmasında (Staff Mobility For Teaching/Training- Mobility Agreement) ders verme/eğitim alma programının gün bazında belirtilmesi gerekmektedir.

Eğitim Alma faaliyetinin gerçekleştirileceği kurum ve faaliyet, kişinin istihdam edildiği mesleki alanıyla doğrudan ilişkili ve mesleki gelişimine katkıda bulunacak nitelikte olmalıdır

İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ, mevcut hibe ile daha fazla personelimizin hareketlilikten yararlanmasını sağlamak amacıyla Erasmus+ Uluslararası Kredi Hareektliliği (ICM) Personel Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma Hareketliliği kapsamında hibe ödemesi yapılacak süreyi en fazla 1 hafta (5 gün Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma + 2 gün gidiş-dönüş günleri olmak üzere azamî 7 gün) olarak sınırlandırmıştır.

ERASMUS+ PERSONEL HAREKETLİLİĞİNE KİMLER BAŞVURABİLİR?

Faaliyete katılacak personelin aşağıdaki asgari şartları sağlaması gerekmektedir:

· Personel hareketliliği gerçekleştirmek isteyen personelin üniversitemizde tam/yarı zamanlı olarak istihdam edilmiş ve fiilen görev yapmakta olan personel olması gerekir.

·Üniversitemizde istihdam edilmiş olan personel için kadro şartı aranmaz, üniversitemiz ile arasında sözleşme olan personel faaliyetlerden faydalanabilir.

· Kadrosu farklı bir kurumda olup da sözleşmeli olarak üniversitemizde çalışmakta olan personel, hareketliğe kadrosunun bulunduğu değil fiilen çalıştığı kurumda yani üniversitemizde başvurur. Hizmet alımı yolu ile yükseköğretim kurumunda istihdam edilen personel ile üniversitemiz arasında sözleşme olmadığından bu kişiler personel hareketliliğinden faydalanamaz.

Başvuru döneminde Ders Verme yükümlülüğü bulunan ve doktoralarını tamamlamış araştırma görevlileri faaliyetten “ders verme faaliyetinden” de faydalanabilirler.

SEÇİM ÖLÇÜTLERİ

Başvurular İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ Dış İlişkiler ve Erasmus Komisyonu tarafından değerlendirilecek olup değerlendirme aşamasında komisyon tarafından belirlenen ölçütler ve Ulusal Ajans tarafından belirtilen aşağıdaki ulusal öncelikler dikkate alınacaktır:

1) İlk kez katılım seçimde önceliklendirilir.

2) Yabancı dil seviyesi önceliklendirilir.

3) Eğitim Alma Faaliyeti’nde idari personel önceliklendirilir.

4)Eğitim Alma Faaliyeti’nde dijital becerilerin geliştirilmesine yönelik faaliyetler önceliklendirilir. 5) Engelli personel önceliklendirilir.

6) Gazi personel, şehit ve/veya gazi eş ve çocuğu durumunda bulunan personel önceliklendirilir.

7) Daha önce personel hareketliliğine dâhil olmayan bölüm ya da birimlerden yapılan başvurular önceliklendirilir.

8) Daha önce personel hareketliliğinde yer almayan veya az sayıda yer alan ülke ve yükseköğretim kurumu ile hareketlilik faaliyeti gerçekleştirmeyi planlayan başvurulara öncelik verilir.

9) Cumhurbaşkanlığı Dijital Dönüşüm Ofisi Başkanlığı tarafından hazırlanan 2021-2025 Ulusal Yapay Zekâ Stratejisi kapsamında Yapay Zekâ ile ilgili faaliyetler önceliklendirilir.

10) Vatandaşı olunan ülkeye hareketliliklere düşük öncelik verilir.

11) İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSTESİ ile yurt dışı bir üniversite arasında Erasmus+ programları kapsamında bir kurumlararası anlaşmaya aracılık eden personel önceliklendirilir.

12) Başvurular tamamlandıktan sonra, tüm seçim ölçütleri dikkate alındığında aynı puana sahip olan personel arasından İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ’nde fiilî çalışma süresi (kıdemi) daha eski olan personel önceliklendirilir. 

13) Kendileri veya 1. Derece yakınları AFAD’dan afetzede yardımı alanlar önceliklendirilir.

 

NOT: Önceliklendirme doğrudan hak kazandırımı şeklinde değil, değerlendirme esnasında artı puan olarak uygulanır.

İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ ile yurt dışı bir üniversite arasında Erasmus+ programları kapsamında bir kurumlararası anlaşmaya aracılık eden personel önceliklendirilir: İlave 15 puan

Başvurular tamamlandıktan sonra, tüm seçim ölçütleri dikkate alındığında aynı puana sahip olan personel arasından İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ’nde fiilî çalışma süresi (kıdemi) daha eski olan personel önceliklendirilir: Fazladan her kıdem yılı için ilave 1 puan

GENEL KURALLAR

++ Personel ders verme/eğitim alma hareektliliği hibe başvurusundaki protokol gereği yalnızca Bangladeş’te yerleşik NOAKHALI SCIENCE and TECHNOLOGY UNIVERSITY’de gerçekleşitirilebilecektir. Başvuru esnasında bu hususun dikkate alınması gereklidir. ++

1. Hareketlilik süresinin asgarî sürenin altında olması durumunda söz konusu hareketlilik için hibe ödemesi yapılmaz; başlangıçta ödenen hibe tahsil edilir. İlgili personel Yararlanıcı Modülü’ne (Beneficiary Module) rapor edilir.

2. Hareketliliğe katılımı kanıtlayan belgelerin (katılım sertifikası) Dış İlişkiler ve Erasmus Koordinatörlüğü’ne teslim edilmemesi durumunda hareketlilik geçersiz sayılır ve personele hibe ödenmez; başlangıçta ödenen hibe tahsil edilir.

3. Seçilen personeller aday personel olacaktır. Asıl liste, Koordinatörlükçe belirlenecek ve İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ Dış İlişkiler ve Erasmus Komisyonu kararıyla kayıt altına alındıktan sonra üniversitemizin internet sayfasında ilan edilecektir.

4. Bir hibe sözleşmesi kapsamında seçilen ancak o sözleşme dönemi içerisinde faaliyetlerini gerçekleştirmeyen personeller, “kazanılmış hak” gerekçesiyle bir sonraki döneme ait hibe sözleşmesinin kapsamına alınamazlar. Personeller her sözleşme dönemi için, ilgili sözleşme döneminde geçerli olan seçim şartlarına göre seçilir ve faaliyetlerini gerçekleştirirler. İlgili sözleşmenin süresi içerisinde faaliyetlerini gerçekleştirmeyen personellerin daha sonra faaliyetten yararlanmak istemeleri halinde tekrar başvurup seçilmeleri gerekir.

5. Personellerin başvurularının akabinde ev sahibi (host) üniversiteden kabul alamamalarından İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ Erasmus Koordinatörlüğü sorumlu tutulamaz.

6. Erasmus+ Uluslararası Kredi Hareketliliği programından yararlanmaya hak kazanan personeller, Koordinatörlüğümüz tarafından yapılacak giden personel bilgilendirme ve oryantasyon toplantılarına katılmak zorundadır. Koordinatörlüğümüz tarafından düzenlenen toplantılara, eğitimlere mazeretsiz katılmayan personellerin Erasmus’a tekrar başvurmaları halinde toplam puanından 5 puan düşürülecektir.

7. Erasmus+ Programından yararlanmaya hak kazanan personeller, hareketlilikten önceki 1 ay (Hareketlilik Anlaşması, Vize Onayı, Sağlık Sigortası, Avro Hesabı Bildirim Formu vb.) ve hareketlilikten sonraki 1 ay içerisinde (Katılım Sertifikası, Pasaport Giriş-Çıkışları vb.) Erasmus+ ile ilgili tüm belgelerini Koordinatörlüğümüze ulaştırmakla yükümlüdürler.

8. Seçim sonuçlarına itiraz süresi; seçim sonuçlarının Üniversitemizin web sayfasında (www.erasmus.gedik.edu.tr) ve Instagram hesabında (@gedikgez) ilan edildiği tarihten itibaren 3 gündür. Bu tarihten sonra yapılan itirazlar değerlendirmeye alınmayacaktır.

9. Personellerin hareketlilikten “feragat etme süresi”; seçim sonuçlarının Üniversitemiz web sayfasında (www.erasmus.gedik.edu.tr) ve Instagram hesabında (@gedikgez)  ilan edildiği tarihten itibaren 7 gündür. Mücbir bir sebep olmaksızın (Mücbir sebep sunan personel, mücbir sebebi belgelemek zorundadır.) 7 günden sonra yapılan feragatlerde eğer hareketlilik için yazışmaları ve tüm işlemleri tamamlanmış ise personelin Erasmus’a tekrar başvurması halinde toplam puanından 10 puan düşürülecektir.

10. Başvuran personellerin kurumsal iletişim adreslerine (e-posta adresleri veya telefon numaraları) Koordinatörlüğümüzce aday gösterildikleri bildirildikten sonra, bildirim tarihinden itibaren 3 gün içerisinde Koordinatörlüğümüz ile iletişime geçmeyen personeller, diğer başvuran personellerin hak kaybına uğramaması amacıyla feragat etmiş sayılacak ve sonuç listesinde bir sonraki personel aday olarak gösterilecektir.

11. Koordinatörlüğümüzce aday gösterildikleri bildirildikten sonra feragat edeceğini Koordinatörlüğümüze bildiren (e-posta ya da telefon ile) fakat dilekçesini süresi içinde Koordinatörlüğümüze teslim etmeyen personeller, diğer başvuran personellerin hak kaybına uğramaması amacıyla feragat etmiş sayılacak ve sonuç listesinde bir sonraki personel aday olarak gösterilecektir.

12. Başvuruda bulunan personeller, başvuru esnasında Koordinatörlüğümüz tarafından istenen belgeleri eksiksiz olarak sisteme yüklemekle yükümlüdürler. Adaylar, başvuru belgelerindeki bilgilerin doğruluğunu; bilgilerin hatalı olması durumunda doğacak yükümlülüğü kabul ederler ve başvuruları geçersiz sayılır.

13. Başvuruda bulunan personeller ile Koordinatörlüğümüz arasında iletişim kanalı olarak kurumsal e-posta adresi ve telefon numaraları kullanılacağından, başvuruda bulunan aday, güncel e-posta adresi, telefon numarası ve birinci derecede yakınına ait telefon numarası beyan etmekle yükümlü olup; beyan edilen iletişim adresleri yoluyla aday personel ile iletişim kurulamamasından beyanda bulunan aday personel sorumludur.

14. Personelin yurt dışına çıkış işlemleri, yurt dışında kalınacak yer temin edilmesi, pasaport ve vize işlemleri personelin sorumluluğundadır. Vize ve pasaport konusunda ulusal veya diğer yetkili kuruluşlar tarafından istenen ve İSTANBUL GEDİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ tarafından hazırlanması gereken belgeler varsa, söz konusu belgeler Üniversitemiz tarafından düzenlenir. Vizesi reddedilen personellere, Koordinatörlüğümüze geçerli bir mazeret sunmamaları hâlinde, tekrar belge düzenlenmeyecektir.

15. Erasmus+ Uluslararası Kredi Hareektliliği’ne başvuran personeller, 2023 Sözleşme Dönemi Erasmus+ Uygulama El Kitabı’nda ve bu ilanda yer alan genel kurallara uymakla yükümlüdürler.

KONTENJANLAR VE HİBELER

Kontenjan sayısı tahmini olup; ikili anlaşmalarımızda yer alan kontenjan sayılarına, Ulusal Ajans’ın 2023 Sözleşme Dönemi Erasmus+ Programı (2023-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000167416 no’lu proje) Personel Ders Verme/Eğitim Alma bütçesi dâhilinde verilen hibe miktarına ve akademik birimlerdeki geçmiş hareketlilik sayılarına göre belirlenmiştir

Personel Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliği için hareketlilik kontenjanı 1 kişidir.

Hibe miktarları ise aşağıdaki gibi olup; personeller, istedikleri takdirde hibe almaksızın faaliyetlere katılabilirler. Hibesiz personeller de diğer başvurularla beraber genel değerlendirmeye tabi tutulur ve hibeli personellerle aynı süreçten geçer. Hibesiz personelin farkı, personelin bütçe hesaplamalarına dâhil edilmemesi ve kendisine ödeme yapılmamasıdır. Hibe alınmaması personelin seçim sürecine dâhil olmamasına gerekçe değildir.

PERSONEL BİREYSEL HİBE VE SEYAHAT DESTEĞİ

1. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliğinden faydalanan yükseköğretim kurumu personelinin hak ettiği hibe hesabını personelin kendi yükseköğretim kurumu, Merkez tarafından belirlenen hibe hesaplama kuralları çerçevesinde yapar.

2. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliğinden faydalanan personele verilen hibe, katkı niteliğinde olup yurt dışında geçirilen döneme ilişkin masrafların tamamını karşılamaya yönelik değildir.

3. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliğinden faydalanan personele Merkez tarafından belirlenen kurallar çerçevesinde günlük/haftalık harcırah ile seyahat mesafesine göre, seyahat gideri ödemesi yapılır. Bu ödeme, yurt dışında geçirilen döneme ilişkin seyahat ve harcırah giderlerine bir katkı niteliğindedir. Seyahat gideri ödemesi, katılımcıların fiilen görev yaptığı üniversitenin yerleşik oldukları yerden faaliyet yerine gitmek ve dönmek için yaptıkları seyahat maliyetine katkı niteliğindedir.

Seyahatin başlangıç noktasının gönderen kuruluşun bulunduğu, faaliyetin gerçekleştirildiği yerin de ev sahibi kuruluşun bulunduğu yer olduğu varsayılır. Seyahat başlangıç noktasının gönderen kurumun bulunduğu şehirden farklı bir şehir olması ya da faaliyetin ev sahibi kurumun yerleşik olduğu şehirden başka bir şehirde gerçekleşiyor olması halinde, değişiklik seyahatin farklı bir mesafe bandına girmesine yol açıyorsa, seyahat faturaları istenir ve gerçekleşen mesafe bandına göre hibe verilir.

4. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliğinden faydalanan personele verilen günlük/haftalık hibe; konaklama, yeme-içme masrafları, iletişim giderleri, yerel seyahat giderleri, sigorta masrafları gibi giderleri kapsar. Bu giderler için ayrıca ödeme yapılmaz. Tüm masraflar, verilen Erasmus+ Uluslararası Kredi Hareketliliği hibesinden karşılanır.

5. Toplu taşıma araçlarını kullanmayıp, ulaşımını özel aracı ile sağlayan personele fatura karşılığında akaryakıt ücreti ödenmez.

6. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliğinden faydalanacak personel ile yükseköğretim kurumu arasında imzalanacak sözleşmede (hibe sözleşmesi) yer alacak toplam hibe miktarı, taraflarca onaylanmış öğretim programı ve tahminî seyahat gideri dikkate alınarak belirlenir.

7. Erasmus+ Uluslararası Kredi Hareketliliği hibesinin ilk dilimi (%80), bütün işlemler tamamlandıktan sonra, Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliğinden faydalanacak personel ile imzalanmış olan sözleşmede yararlanıcının belirttiği avro hesabına personel yurtdışına gitmeden önce yatırılır.

8. Personelin faaliyet süreleri ve hibeleri, faaliyet başlamadan önce tahminî olarak hesaplanır. Faaliyet sona erdikten sonra gerçekleşen kesin süreler ve hibeler tekrar hesaplanır. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliği faaliyetinden faydalanacak personele verilecek olan günlük harcırah miktarları ülkelerin yaşam standartları göz önüne alınarak, Merkez tarafından aşağıdaki tabloda sunulan şekilde belirlenmiştir.

9. Ders Verme/ Eğitim Alma hareketliliği’nden faydalanan personele Merkez tarafından belirlenen kurallar çerçevesinde günlük/haftalık harcırah (hibe) ödemesi ile seyahat mesafesine göre, seyahat gideri ödemesi yapılır. Bu ödeme, yurt dışında geçirilen döneme ilişkin seyahat ve harcırah giderlerine bir katkı niteliğindedir. Konaklama için ayrı bir hibe ödenmez. Toplam hibe ödemesi %80 faaliyet öncesi ve %20 faaliyet sonrası olmak üzere iki taksitte yapılır.

Aşağıdaki tablo 2023-1-TR01-KA171-HED-000167416 numaralı proje kapsamında programla ilişkili ülkelere hareketlilik gerçekleştirecek personeller için geçerlidir.

 

Seyahat Gideri Hesaplamaları

Personel hareketliliği faaliyetinden faydalanan personeline ödenecek seyahat gideri miktarı “Mesafe Hesaplayıcı” kullanılarak hesaplanır.

İÇERME DESTEĞİ (INCLUSION SUPPORT)

Erasmus+ Programı, özel ihtiyaç sahibi kesimin programa katılımını teşvik etmektedir. Özel ihtiyacı olan kişi, ek finansal destek olmadığı takdirde kişisel fiziksel durumu, zihinsel durumu veya sağlık durumu, projeye/hareketlilik faaliyetine katılmasına izin vermeyen potansiyel katılımcıdır. İçerme desteğine gereksinim duyan öğrenci ve personele ilave hibe verilebilmesi için yararlanıcı yükseköğretim kurumu tarafından Merkezden ilave hibe talebinde bulunulması gerekmektedir. İçerme Desteği sahibi katılımcı seçildikten sonra, katılımcının ek hibe talebi varsa, yaklaşık ek masrafları belirlenir ve Merkezden ilave hibe talep edilir. İlave hibe talebi sözleşme dönemi içerisinde, ama her hal ve durumda sözleşme bitiş tarihinden 60 gün öncesine kadar yapılabilir. Katılımcı faaliyeti sona erdikten sonra hibesinde artış talep edilemez.

Universiti Sains Malaysia To Host International Postgraduate Conference

Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), based in Malaysia, will host the 4th International Postgraduate Conference on Multidisciplinary Research online on 17–18 December 2025.

The conference, held under the theme “Bridging Disciplines, Shaping Tomorrow,” will feature academic presentations in a wide range of fields including social sciences (economics, political science, business, history, sociology, education, language and literature) as well as science and technology disciplines (mathematics, engineering, health sciences, information systems, etc.).

International Days To Be Held At The Hungarian University Of Sports Science

The Hungarian University of Sports Science (HUSS), located in Hungary, will organize the International Days event in Budapest between 13–17 October 2025.

The event includes academic sessions such as lectures, seminars, and workshops, where participants will have the opportunity to share their knowledge, experience, and expertise.

In addition to the academic program, the event also features a variety of cultural and social activities, such as a Buda Castle walking tour, a visit to Puskás Aréna, champagne tasting at Törley Cellars, and a trip to the town of Szentendre.

Additionally, the HUSS International Conference on Biomechanics will be held on 13–14 October 2025. While this conference is not part of the International Days, interested guest academics are welcome to register and participate.

Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) has announced that it will welcome exchange students from partner universities for the Autumn Semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. İrem Yazaydık Completed Erasmus+ Study Mobility in Spain

İrem Yazaydık, an undergraduate student in the International Trade and Finance Department at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, participated in Erasmus+ Study Mobility at Universidad Europea del Atlántico (E SANTAND18) in Spain from February 21, 2025, to June 30, 2025.

During her time in Cantabria, Spain, İrem shared that her Erasmus experience at UNEATLANTICO was one of the most interesting periods of her life. She mentioned, “I met many interesting and intriguing individuals during my time there which certainly made my experience unique.” She also highlighted how immersing herself in a new culture and society, so different from her own, helped her appreciate the diversity of the world.

İrem described the university as having its own charm, with cozy classrooms and a quirky teaching environment, making her experience quite different from that at her home university. Reflecting on her overall Erasmus+ journey, she stated, “The Erasmus+ experience was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity that allowed me to explore and learn about new cultures and societies. It shall be a memorable experience that will stay within my mind for years to come.”

Collaboration Meeting Held with Sapienza University of Rome

On July 21, 2025, an online collaboration meeting was held between our University and Sapienza University of Rome, one of the most prestigious and longstanding institutions in Europe and Italy.

Representing Sapienza University, the meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Luciano Saso, former Vice-Rector and Coordinator of International Relations, who currently also serves as the Secretary General of UNICA. Representing our university were Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator; Dr. Metin Toptaş from the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences; Dr. Fahimeh Hassani from the Faculty of Sport Sciences; Dr. Kıvanç Ali Anıl and Dr. Ahmet Kubilay Atalay from the Faculty of Engineering; and Research Assistant Osman Can Serttaş from the Faculty of Law.

During the meeting, potential areas of cooperation between the two universities were discussed. Prof. Saso particularly emphasized the possibility of collaboration in the fields of health sciences and pharmacology. Both sides agreed to organize a more comprehensive meeting in the upcoming academic term.

Students of Istanbul Gedik University had the opportunity to gain detailed information about the Erasmus+ programme and hear firsthand experiences from students who have participated in the programme.

During the online event held on Thursday, July 10, 2025, students who previously took part in Erasmus+ mobility shared their personal journeys.

Participants had the chance to learn about academic and social life in the countries and universities they visited, the challenges they faced, and valuable tips for a successful mobility experience. Additionally, a Q&A session was held, allowing attendees to ask questions about topics they were curious about.

Meeting with Dr. Christina Kontogoulidou, Head of the International Relations Office, University of Piraeus, Greece

During his visit to Thessaloniki, Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, held a meeting with Dr. Christina Kontogoulidou, Vice President of the European Association of Erasmus Coordinators (EAEC) and Head of the International Relations Office at the University of Piraeus.

The meeting focused on potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions, particularly within the scope of Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) and Key Action 2 (KA2) projects. Both parties discussed strategies for developing joint initiatives and strengthening academic cooperation through mobility and project-based partnerships.

As a result of the discussions, a mutual agreement was reached to initiate an Erasmus+ KA131 inter-institutional agreement, with the aim of launching student and staff mobility programs between the two universities in the upcoming academic period.

We Attended The Online Visa Information Session Organized By The Hungarian Embassy

An online information session, attended by Hazal Karataş from the Erasmus Office of Istanbul Gedik University, was held by the Hungarian embassy on july 2, 2025. The session targeted students who will participate in long-term mobility programs in Hungary under the erasmus+ scheme.

During the program, general information about Hungary was shared, and the key points to consider in educational visa applications were discussed in detail. Participants were provided with comprehensive guidance on how to properly use the appointment system, the document submission process, and the procedures to follow on the interview day.

It was emphasized that students must select the correct location and type of procedure when booking their visa appointments in order to avoid any mistakes during the application process.

At the end of the session, participants were given the opportunity to ask questions about the topics they were curious about and receive detailed answers; so, they were able to gain a clearer understanding and deeper insight into these topics.

Research Assistant Zeynep Uyanıker from the Faculty of Health Sciences Participated in the International Week at the University of Foggia

Zeynep Uyanıker, a research assistant from our university's Faculty of Health Sciences, successfully completed an Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility between 16–20 June 2025 at the International Erasmus Week hosted by the University of Foggia, Italy.

The event took place in the coastal town of Vieste, located on the Adriatic coast and known for its natural beauty and preserved historical charm. The international week brought together numerous academic and administrative staff from various countries. Within the scope of the program, Research Assistant Uyanıker actively participated in workshops, presentations, and group discussions, gaining valuable insights into European practices in her field.

In addition to the training activities, the program provided a platform for rich intercultural and academic exchange. Engaging with participants from different countries contributed to the development of intercultural communication skills and the strengthening of international academic networks. The University of Foggia's strong commitment to internationalization and the Erasmus+ network once again emphasized the importance of inter-university cooperation.

The program also included cultural and social activities, such as guided tours through the historic streets of Vieste, local dinner events, and seaside cultural gatherings, offering participants the opportunity to experience the region’s cultural heritage first-hand.

Research Assistant Zeynep Uyanıker stated that this mobility contributed significantly to both her academic and personal development and that the international experiences she gained will positively reflect on her future work at our university.

International Relations Director and Erasmus Coordinator, Lecturer Yücel Kamar, participated in the online "Erasmus+ Key Action 2 (KA2) Cooperation Partnerships 2024 R2/R3 Project Management Information Meeting" held on June 24, 2025, organized by the Turkish National Agency for applicants awarded grants under KA2 projects.

During the meeting, a general overview of KA210/KA220 project types was provided, along with presentations on the Grant Agreement and the Turna Portal. Two different project holders delivered detailed presentations on the implementation of their respective projects. The meeting concluded with an introduction to the Beneficiary Module and the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform, followed by a Q&A session.

Our institution’s Erasmus Office staff member, Hazal Karataş, completed her mobility at the International University of Struga in North Macedonia between June 23rd and 27th within the scope of the Erasmus+ Staff Training Mobility program. During this period, Hazal Karataş received comprehensive training on international educational collaborations, the current practices of the Erasmus+ program, and staff training processes.

The training covered detailed information about mobility opportunities within the Erasmus+ program. Additionally, interacting with participants from different countries, exchanging knowledge, and sharing experiences contributed to expanding our institution’s international cooperation network.

Our institution aims to maximize the benefits offered by the Erasmus+ program by actively encouraging participation in international projects. Such training and mobility activities enable our academic and administrative staff to gain knowledge and experience in line with international standards.

Our institution will continue to support similar programs and strengthen international cooperation activities.

FATLUM BAUTA FROM THE INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF STRUGA IN NORTH MACEDONIA VISITED OUR INSTITUTION WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE ERASMUS+ STAFF TEACHING MOBILITY PROGRAM

Our university hosted Fatlum Bauta, an academic staff member from the Department of Sciences at the International University of Struga in North Macedonia, within the scope of the Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Mobility program, between June 10th and 17th.

During the visit, Fatlum Bauta met with our academic staff to share experiences and knowledge. In the meetings held as part of the program, comprehensive evaluations were made regarding the educational approaches and academic processes of both institutions. This visit under the Erasmus+ program presented a great opportunity to enhance sustainable cooperation between the two institutions.

Our institution will continue to support similar projects aimed at improving the quality of education and establishing strong international collaborations.

Between June 23–27, 2025, a delegation of five academic staff members from Todor Kableshkov University of Transport in Sofia, Bulgaria, visited Istanbul Gedik University as part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility programme.

During their stay, the delegation visited various academic and administrative units of our university and received information about our faculties, laboratories, and campus facilities. The meetings covered key topics such as increasing student and staff exchanges, co-designing academic modules, developing short-term programmes, and exploring opportunities for collaboration in EU-funded projects.

Istanbul Gedik University took part in the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2025, held in Istanbul between 16–19 June 2025 in collaboration with the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Our university was represented by Research Assistant Pınar Eylem Yılmaz from the Sustainability Office, Institutional Erasmus Coordinator Lecturer Yücel Kamar, and Erasmus officers İlayda Önder and Hazal Karataş from the Office of External Relations and Erasmus Coordination.

The congress welcomed more than 5,000 international participants from over 100 countries and covered key themes such as "Cities and Communities," "Digital Innovation," "Education, Gender and Inequalities," and "Energy and Industry." The event also contributed significantly to the international visibility of Turkish higher education institutions.

Throughout the congress, Istanbul Gedik University welcomed visitors at its stand and engaged in fruitful discussions with various institutions as part of its commitment to internationalization.

First Meeting Held for Our Erasmus+ Project “Green Entrepreneurship for Youth”

Within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA220-YOU project titled “Green Entrepreneurship for Youth,” coordinated by Istanbul Gedik University and funded by the Turkish National Agency, the first online meeting was successfully held in 20/06/2025.

During the meeting, the international project partners had the opportunity to get to know each other and discussed in detail the roadmap and planned activities to be carried out throughout the project. Key topics such as project management, task distribution, and communication strategies were also addressed.

Darline Philippe, one of our Erasmus+ trainees, recently completed her internship at the Faculty of Economics and Law of Bar, Adriatic University Montenegro, and shared her thoughts on this transformative experience:

"Being able to complete my internship at the Faculty of Economics and Law in Bar was a true privilege. Not only did I challenge myself and enhance my professional skills, but I also had the chance to immerse myself in Montenegro’s rich cultural diversity.

Darline Philippe, a student in the Associate Degree Program in ForeignTrade (English), has successfully completed her Erasmus+ Internship Mobility in Adriatik Bar University, Montenegro, from 11/0472025 to 14/06/2025.

Within the scope of the Erasmus+ Internship Programme, Darline had the opportunity to gain valuable international work experience in her field while developing her intercultural communication skills and strengthening her professional network.

As part of the 2024–2025 Spring Term Erasmus+ Student Study Mobility Program, Istanbul Gedik University had the pleasure of hosting Sevim Gökçe Musacalı and Ceren Toksoy from International Vision University, North Macedonia.

During their stay, the students carried out their study mobilities at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Computer Engineering. Throughout the mobility period, they actively engaged in the academic and cultural life of our university, gaining valuable international academic experience while contributing to intercultural exchange on campus.

As Istanbul Gedik University, we proudly congratulate Diana Sailau, who joined our university from Kazakhstan within the scope of the 2024-2025 spring term Bilateral Exchange Programs. Diana Sailau successfully completed her study mobility at our Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechatronics Engineering, as part of the bilateral exchange program from International Information Technology University in Kazakhstan.

During this period, Diana actively participated in the academic programs and gained international educational experience, supporting both her personal and academic development.

CIFP Fadura LHII Delegation Visits Our University Under the Scope of Erasmus+ Staff Mobilities

As part of the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Training, Xabier Ateka (Erasmus Coordinator), Joseba Alvarez, and Egoitz Arrizabalaga from CIFP Fadura LHII in Spain, specializing in the fields of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, visited our university between May 26–30, 2025.

During their visit, the delegation visited Gedik Vocational School and met with Vice Directors Öğr. Gör. Erdem Cevher and Öğr. Gör. Esra Demirci Ecevit, Mechatronics Program Coordinator Dr. Gözde Konuk Ege, and Welding Technology Program Coordinator Dr. Ozan Çoban. The guests had the opportunity to tour and experience the laboratories and facilities within the Vocational School.

Following the Vocational School visit, the delegation proceeded to the Faculty of Engineering, where they held a meeting with Prof. Dr. Savaş Dilibal (Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haydar Şahin (Vice Head), and Dr. Ahmet Kubilay Atalay. The meeting focused on exploring potential areas for academic collaboration between the two institutions.

We hope that this kind of mutual academic exchange will lead to more concrete collaborations in the near future.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Redvan Ghasemlounia, Faculty Member at the Faculty of Engineering and Director of the Graduate School at Istanbul Gedik University, participated in the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility for Teaching at Politécnico de Leiria, located in Leiria, Portugal.

During the visit, he delivered a lecture to Civil Engineering students titled “Design of Hydraulic Structures and a Simulation on Sediment Dispersion in Flood Inflows into Lakes.” The session drew significant interest from the students, presenting engineering approaches to sediment transport and in-lake dispersion through a hands-on simulation.

In addition, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ghasemlounia met with academic staff at Politécnico de Leiria to explore possible joint projects and academic collaborations, especially in the areas of hydraulic engineering, water resources management, and environmental modeling.

This visit not only contributes to Istanbul Gedik University’s internationalization strategy but also helps to further strengthen institutional ties with European higher education institutions.

Hatice Baygut, a student of our Occupational Health and Safety Master's with Thesis program, is carrying out her Erasmus+ student internship mobility at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, located in Rome, Italy, between 31 May – 31 July 2025.

This experience will provide her with an excellent opportunity to enhance both her academic knowledge and practical skills in her field, adding an international dimension to her professional development.

Prof. Dr. Savaş Dilibal, Head of the Mechatronics Engineering Department at our university, delivered lectures on robotics at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN) in Romania between May 20–24, within the scope of the Erasmus+ Staff Teaching Mobility Program.

During his visit, he held meetings with Vice-Rector Prof. Daniela Popescu regarding potential bilateral collaborations under the Erasmus+ program. He also engaged in discussions with faculty members at the university about possible joint project collaborations.

DAFFODIL INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY ASIA-PACIFIC SUMMER PROGRAM (APSP) 2025 ANNOUNCEMENT

Daffodil International University (DIU), located in Bangladesh, will organize the Asia-Pacific Summer Program (APSP) 2025 from July 19 to July 27, 2025. The program will offer participants a rich academic curriculum alongside various social and cultural activities. The program includes field trips, industry visits, team projects, presentations, cultural interaction events, and local heritage tours. This provides students the opportunity to enhance their academic knowledge while gaining international experience through cultural exchange.

MADALINA ROBERTA TATARU AND MARIA MADALINA SGINDAR COMPLETED THEIR STUDENT INTERNSHIP MOBILITY UNDER THE ERASMUS PROGRAM AT OUR INSTITUTION

Between 01/04/2025 and 30/05/2025, Madalina Roberta Tataru and Maria Madalina Sgindar completed a successful and productive internship period within the scope of the Erasmus student internship mobility at our institution.

Madalina Roberta Tataru carried out her internship at the Office of International Relations and Erasmus Coordination at Gedik University, where she improved her experience in the field of international relations. Maria Madalina Sgindar continued her internship under the supervision of Dr. Seyed Houtan Shahidi, a faculty member in the Coaching Education department.

The students expressed their satisfaction with the experiences they gained and with the hospitality of our institution. We were also very pleased to host them.

Dr. Şerife Esra Dinçer from the Department of Software Engineering carried out a teaching activity at John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin between 19.05.2025 and 23.05.2025 within the scope of Erasmus teaching mobility.

During this academic visit conducted under the Erasmus program, Dr. Lecturer Dinçer delivered courses related to her field and shared knowledge and experience with the host institution.

This visit, which contributed to the development of academic collaborations, was productive for both our institution and the host university.

Aysun Narmanlı, who works at our Continuing Education Application and Research Center, participated in a staff training mobility at IES Virgen de la Paz in Spain between May 26-30, 2025.

Within the scope of this program, Aysun Narmanlı had the opportunity to observe the operations of the host institution firsthand and visited various organizations and companies collaborating with them to gain insights into international practices.

This mobility has laid the groundwork for a strong cooperation between our institution and IES Virgen de la Paz.

Nermin Škretović from University Adriatic Bar in Montenegro visited Gedik University between 17 May - 23 May 2025 as part of the staff mobility for receiving education within the scope of Erasmus+ program.

During the visit, discussions were held on inter-institutional cooperation opportunities, good practice sharing and academic development. Nermin Škretović had the opportunity to get to know the academic units and administrative structures of our university.

This visit, which contributes to increasing mutual experience sharing and institutional dialogue, is of great importance in terms of preparing the ground for future joint projects and mobility.
