On 2 October 2026, Istanbul Gedik University held an online meeting with European University, Georgia, to discuss opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing future academic partnerships.

Representing European University, Ms. Mariam Orjonikidze participated in the meeting. On behalf of Istanbul Gedik University, Lecturer Yücel Kamar, International Relations Director and Erasmus+ Institutional Coordinator, and Ezgi Yıldız, Specialist at the International Relations and Erasmus+ Office, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the participants exchanged information about their respective institutions and discussed potential areas of collaboration, including Erasmus+ mobility opportunities, academic exchange, and other forms of international cooperation.

The meeting provided a valuable platform for exploring potential areas of mutual interest, identifying opportunities for future collaboration, and strengthening institutional relations between the two universities.

Both institutions expressed their interest in further developing their cooperation and exploring opportunities for sustainable academic partnerships and joint initiatives in the fields of education, mobility, and internationalisation.
