As part of its commitment to strengthening international academic partnerships, İstanbul Gedik University paid an official visit to Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction on 8 July 2026.

The delegation consisted of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Redvan Ghasemlounia from the Department of Civil Engineering, Yücel Kamar, Erasmus Office Coordinator, and Ezgi Yıldız, Erasmus Office Specialist. Prior to the official meetings, Yücel Kamar and Ezgi Yıldız met with the staff of the International Relations Office, where they exchanged information on Erasmus+ practices, internationalization strategies, and mobility procedures. The meeting provided an opportunity to establish professional connections and discuss potential areas of cooperation in the field of international education.

During the visit, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Redvan Ghasemlounia held meetings with academic representatives of Azerbaijan University of Architecture and Construction to explore opportunities for future collaboration. Discussions focused on developing joint research initiatives, fostering academic cooperation, facilitating faculty and student exchanges, and identifying areas of mutual interest for future collaborative projects.

The visit provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, strengthening institutional relationships, and laying the groundwork for future academic and international initiatives.
