Istanbul Gedik University Participated in the Erasmus+ Higher Education Newcomers Meeting

The Erasmus+ Higher Education Newcomers Meeting, organized by the Turkish National Agency, was successfully held on 14–15 May 2026, hosted by Isparta University of Applied Sciences. Representing the International Relations and Erasmus Office of Istanbul Gedik University, İlayda Önder and Ezgi Yıldız participated in the meeting alongside Erasmus Office representatives from universities across Türkiye. The event brought together higher education professionals to exchange experiences and receive comprehensive updates on Erasmus+ programme implementation, project management, student and staff mobility, and current developments in Erasmus+ practices. As part of the social programme on 15 May, participants had the opportunity to explore the natural, cultural, and historical heritage of Isparta. The programme included a visit to the Güneykent Rose Factory, where participants learned about the rose harvest and production process, followed by visits to the Süleyman Demirel Complex and Memorial Tomb. The event concluded with a guided tour of Eğirdir, one of the most picturesque destinations in Türkiye's Lakes Region. The meeting provided a valuable platform for networking, sharing best practices, and strengthening cooperation among Erasmus professionals across the country.
